Introduction
The Communication Package is an add-on feature that enhances the platform's default email notification system by enabling customers to procure dedicated phone numbers and email mailboxes directly within the system. This allows for streamlined, centralized communication while maintaining a full audit trail of interactions.
Default System Behavior
By default, the system sends notification emails using noreply@{yourdomain.com}
. This ensures transactional emails are delivered, but it does not allow direct two-way communication, SMS or calls with customers.
Communication Package Features
With the Communication Package, customers can enable advanced communication tools that integrate seamlessly into the platform.
Pricing
- Phone Numbers: $25/month per number
- Email Mailboxes: $5/month per mailbox
- Per-Communication Cost: $0.03 (3 cents) per SMS or email
Functionality
Customers who enable the Communication Package can:
- Procure phone lines and email mailboxes directly from the platform.
- Assign phone numbers or emails to be used for notifications (SMS/email).
- Allocate phone numbers/emails to specific users in the system.
- Assign phone numbers to an auto attendant to efficiently route customer calls.
- Assign dedicated phone numbers for each call routing option, similar to a traditional PBX extension system.
User-Specific Communication
If a user has been assigned a phone number and/or email, they gain additional communication capabilities:
- Phone number attached: They can place calls and send SMS messages from within the platform.
- Email mailbox attached: They can send emails directly from the platform.
This means all customer communication happens seamlessly within the system, eliminating the need for third-party applications.
