Amending Email and SMS Templates

Overview


Before you can modify email and SMS templates, communications must be enabled in the system.


Without communications enabled, the system sends order confirmations using the default template. This includes:

  • Subject line

  • PDF attachment of the order confirmation


With communications enabled, you can modify any template to include additional information such as:

  • Collection or return instructions

  • Lockbox details

  • Personalized messages




Step 1: Accessing Email & SMS Templates

  • From the admin panel, click on Communication > Email & SMS Templates.

  • Select the template you wish to amend—either Email or SMS.

  • Templates are categorized as:

    • External: Messages sent to customers.

    • Internal: Notifications sent to your team.


Step 2: Editing the Template

  • Click on the template you wish to modify.

  • Amend the Title, Subject, or Message.

  • The message box contains the email body displayed to the customer.

  • You can type plain text and use the toolbar for basic formatting such as:

    • Font size

    • Color

    • Bold text


Using Liquid Variables

Liquid Variables allow dynamic content within emails. These are found on the right-hand side of the screen. You can use them to share any available variable within the email message. Example variables include:


{{Blog_Social}} {{Facebook_Social}} {{Instagram_Social}} {{LinkedIn_Social}} {{Pinterest_Social}} {{Snap_Chat_Social}} {{Twitter_Social}} {{YouTube_Social}}


To use a variable:

  • Click on the desired variable.

  • The variable will be inserted at the cursor's position within the email body.

For example, adding {{Facebook_Social}} and {{Instagram_Social}} to the footer of an order confirmation ensures that customers see and can easily access your social media pages.





By customizing email and SMS templates, you can enhance communication with your customers while maintaining consistency in your messaging.
